Expertly guided fossil hunts
One of the best places on earth to come face to face with the ancient past, the Isle of Wight has a rich fossil record spanning 130 million years, from the dinosaurs of the early Cretaceous to the freezing tundra of the last Ice Age.
After a short drive to Fishbourne it's time to get back on the ferry for the journey home to the "north island" as we call it...
It's a 40 minute crossing to Portsmouth on the mainland, and an ideal opportunity for everyone to eat a packed lunch before the onward journey
Back on the coach and now it's just a simple case of zipping up the motorway and back to school
The homeward journey should be a lot quieter than the drive down - hopefully everyone will be exhausted from having a great time here on the Isle of Wight and full of precious memories
Again, toilet stops will be taken as necessary
