School Trips to: Isle of Wight

Keeping Isle of Wight school trips affordable

Education Destination recognises that school residential trips are essential for pupils to accelerate their growth as people.

We also recognise that costs can sometimes be prohibitive to some parents, especially during periods of high inflation. That's why we pride ourselves on offering the best possible residential trips to the Isle of Wight, whilst keeping costs down due to the wide array of partnerships we maintain with suppliers.

Feel that a residential trip is out of reach for your school? Get in touch and we'll be happy to prove otherwise.

Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world

— Maria Montessori

Some of the ways we're working hard to keep the cost of school trips down include:

  • Liaising with accommodation partners to safely minimise the number of rooms needed to house the cohort, saving heat and light
  • Reducing the laundry burden by asking students to bring their own towels, and in some cases, bedding
  • Working with food suppliers to reduce catering costs, for example by switching some cooked items for ambient or chilled options or moving to a buffet-style service
  • Utilising a wider range of transport providers to reduce dead mileage and optimising ferry crossings to take advantage of cheaper times
  • Seeking out low cost or free activities to get the most out of your budgets whilst working with chargeable activity providers to improve value for money
