After several years of hosting primary school residential visits on the Isle of Wight, Education Destination is delighted to announce that we are expanding our operations into our stunning neighbour county of Dorset, beginning with the 2024-25 season! Schools will be able to select from single-destination trips to the Island or to Dorset, or have a couple of days in each location with a quick changeover midweek.
Dorset is a beautiful county in the south of England, with a coastline that stretches for over 200 miles. It is home to a variety of landscapes, from rolling hills and meadows to dramatic cliffs and beaches. Dorset is also a popular tourist destination, with many attractions that are suitable for primary school children.
Following a sustained period of growth and an incredible client retention rate, we at Education Destination know we're offering exceptional primary school residential trips at affordable prices. The whole team is looking forward to expanding the array of visitor attractions we can offer our schools by working with trusted partners across Dorset.
— Jon Carter, Managing Director Education Destination Ltd
Accommodation
Our groups typically range in size from 30 to over 100 students aged 10/11 years plus accompanying adults usually in a ratio of around 1:8. We are looking for good quality hotels, guest houses, hostels, dormitories, camping and glamping sites that can offer secure accommodation ideally on an exclusive basis Monday-Friday during term time with the main season running from late March to mid July then mid September to end of October. Ideally you will be able to offer breakfast, packed lunches and evening meals - or have an arrangement with a local caterer to provide these.
Visitor Attractions
Our itineraries are packed with fun as well as educational days out of all types - from animal attractions to museums, theme parks to watersports - if children enjoy visiting your place, we'd love to hear from you.
